The intention of IDEALS is to understand what you are looking to attract in all areas of your life (business, employees, intimacy, health, etc.). Ideals are characteristics that must be present in other people (and YOURSELF) in order to engage in a relationship with this individual. IDEALS are so powerful that they should never be compromised and must be adhered to with 100% compliance. The strength of a house relies on the foundation that it was built upon, which holds true in business because the success of an organization is solely based on the people who are involved. This is why IDEALS are everything!
The underlying premise of an IDEAL is actually situated within the world of self-worth because if you are willing to engage with someone who does not represent EVERYTHING that you desire within this area in your life, then you do not deem yourself worthy enough to “have it all!” Therefore, the strategy with ideals is simple, yet challenging to implement, because the first and only step is recognizing what you believe you deserve. For example, many small/mid-sized business, entrepreneurs, and practitioners have high rates of turnover when it comes to staffing. The superficial reason (and excuse) that these business owners often communicate usually focuses on small budgets for these positions and the old adage, “you get what you pay for.”
This vicious cycle persists and the outcome is double digit unemployment in an extremely short period of time and an attitude of “why me!?” The irony of this situation is twofold because the employer continues to hire the same kind (less than what they deserve) AND they believe that finding quality staff is hard work. What this proves is without clarity of what you desire, it will materialize by chance (aka a diamond in the rough) and secondly it is actually more difficult to hire the “wrong” employee because of the amount of energy that you dedicate towards justifying why this was a good decision for your company. Now that we have created a scenario that 99.9% of small/mid-sized business owners experience, it is time to do something differently so that the outcome can be one that you DESERVE and DESIRE.
